At Kollafoss Game Farm
Are you ready to pet some lambs & make some games?
We sold out in 3 minutes this year! WOW! Registrations are still open for the waiting list.
For the last three years, people have travelled to the middle of nowhere, top of the world Iceland, Kollafoss Game Farm, with two goals in mind; Make games and pet lambs. Lets do it again!
There's no sign of civilisation around, barely any farm, as Kollafoss is situated in a dead end valley close to the borders of the highlands of Iceland. The only thing you can see is the barren highlands ahead, small group of game developers who got the same crazy idea as you, and some sheep.
...and yes, you will be able to pet lambs.
Want to see it on a map? Here you go!
13,000 (Thirteen thousand) Icelandic kronur per person.
This includes a bed (+ duvet, bed linen, etc.) in a shared room, food, coffee, internet access, and more.
Kollafoss is a farm that can house around seven people (or more, if we add mattresses on the floor and squeeze a little bit). It has three available bedrooms with two beds each, two bathrooms, two sizeable living rooms perfect for game development, a bathroom (with a shower/bathtub), a porch (which was recently destroyed to make way for optic fiber), a decent sized kitchen and a lot of coffee!
We are offering game developers to live with us here at our indie gamedev farm far away from the ruckus of the modern world, but still with access to a good internet connection.
Do you want to extend your stay after the gamejam as a gamedev resident? Or perhaps arrive before the jam? Get more info at the Kollafoss website
This event is quite freeform! The schedule below is simply a guideline; the only times that are solid are the times we start and stop making games.
Participants will be invited to a Facebook group where more information will be posted and people can plan how to get to the area. If you need any information, feel free to contact us. (contact information below)
A lot of the practical information over at the Kollafoss website applies to the Isolation Game Jam as well.
PS: The group photo above is by the king of Isolation Horatiu Roman who has attended every single Isolation Game Jam since the beginning.
